At the rally in “Meridian” for the first time there was a mixed relay

The third day of the Tourist rally of students of the Union State was rich – participants combined serious sports starts with creative competitions.

The main event was the debut mixed relay in sports tourism at walking distances. It was established in honor of the President of the Federation of sports tourism of Russia Sergey Mironov. The fastest distance passed representatives of the Chuvash Republic. The second place went to the team of the Stavropol Territory, and the third – to the Udmurt Republic.

The sports part of the day continued with competitions in the discipline “distance – pedestrian – group”. Here the balance of forces changed a little: Stavropol climbed to the highest step of the pedestal, Udmurtia took silver, and Chuvashia took bronze.

At the same time, the results were summed up in creative nominations. In the competition of teams on the theme “People – unity, that birds – wings” the best became Belgorod and Minsk regions. The second place was shared by the Kursk, Brest and Rostov regions, and the third – Vitebsk, Moscow and Gomel regions.

In the competition of local historians, the victory was celebrated by the Smolensk region and Udmurtia. In second place were Saratov region, St. Petersburg and Rostov region. Closed the three leaders Gomel region, Bashkortostan and Vitebsk region.

The rally doesn't slow down. Today, participants will have personal tests in sports tourism at pedestrian distances, as well as traditional competitions of tourist newspapers and tourist songs.
