227 young customs officers took the oath in Minsk

The republican ceremony of swearing in by officials of the customs authorities of Belarus was held on September 11 in Minsk on the State Flag Square, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

The ceremony took place on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the formation of the Belarusian customs service. The participants of the significant event were the heads of the State Customs Committee and all customs of the country, representatives of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, young customs officers, as well as their relatives and friends.

In his welcoming speech to the young replenishment, Chairman of the State Customs Committee Vladimir Orlovsky stressed:

The oath is taken on the State Flag Square, a landmark place for our country that symbolizes the independence of Belarus. This day will forever remain in your memory as a symbol of honor, loyalty and high responsibility to the state and society. You will join the ranks of those who stand guard over the economic security of the country. From now on, every decision you make, every action you take will have a special meaning, because you have an honorable and responsible mission to protect the law. You will continue the traditions of our veterans who laid the foundations of the Belarusian customs service. The management of customs authorities expresses confidence that you will justify the trust, show steadfastness and honesty. Let professional success accompany you throughout your career.

227 young customs officers from all regions of the country took the oath of allegiance to the Motherland. Among the oath-takers was the inspector of the customs payments department of the Minsk regional customs Angelina Alferovich. A recent graduate of the Belarusian State University of Economics has been working for two months.

- I came to customs consciously. Minsk Regional Customs was lucky to get into summer practice. And then there was the competition, and I'm working here feeling excited and proud. Today is a special and solemn day. But I understand that saying the words of the oath is one thing, and following them and confirming them with a deed is quite another. I hope that I will succeed, — said the girl.
