In the evening on the highway M-4 "Don" near Voronezh formed ten-kilometer traffic jam

In the evening on Friday, October 16, on the federal highway M-4 "Don" in the area of Voronezh formed a traffic jam, the length of which reached 10 kilometers. This was reported by motorists themselves.

According to the drivers, the most difficult situation has developed on the street Explorers in the direction of Moscow — the movement there almost completely stopped. One of the local residents said that he spent about two hours in traffic, whereas usually this area is overcome in 15 minutes.

The cause of the congestion was road work: the asphalt pavement is changed on the highway, because of which the roadway is significantly narrowed in places. During peak hours and in adverse weather, the congestion becomes even longer.

It is noted that next year, similar difficulties may arise in the Ramon district – there on the M-4 “Don” is planned to expand the road to two lanes in each direction.
