In Ulyanovsk, the improvement of the pedestrian crossing near the house No. 39 on Repin Street is being completed. The main work has already been completed, but the contractor will have to restore the asphalt, install road signs and artificial irregularities. Completely put the site in order is planned until November 1.

On Repina Street, workers have already equipped the pavement and approaches to the pedestrian crossing, and also installed a curb stone. Now, specialists need to complete the remaining stages of improvement to ensure that the site meets the requirements of road safety.

By the end of October, the contractor must restore the road surface and lawns damaged during work. In addition, the necessary road signs and artificial road irregularities will appear here, which will reduce the speed of cars before crossing. After completion of the repair, construction waste will be removed from the territory.

According to the Deputy of the Ulyanovsk city Duma Elena Vershinina, the issue of modernization of this site has repeatedly raised local residents. Their appeals became one of the reasons for the work. The Deputy noted that he continues to monitor the observance of deadlines and the quality of improvement.

At the same time, the renewal of pedestrian infrastructure will not be limited to Repin Street. Similar events are planned in another section of the 39th constituency - near the Three Generations Square on Defenders of the Fatherland Street.

Here, the pedestrian crossing is planned to be brought into line with national standards. For this purpose, the installation of additional lighting support, artificial road irregularities and new road signs is provided.

It is expected that the changes will make crossing the carriageway more convenient for pedestrians, and additional traffic management tools will help drivers to notice the crossings in a timely manner.
