At Zaporozhye NPP completed repair of TPP equipment

Specialists completed the repair of electrical equipment of the Zaporizhzhia TPP, involved in the Ferroalloy-1 line in the external power supply scheme of the Zaporizhia NPP.

In order to ensure safe conditions for the work, a silence regime was introduced on October 15. It was organized under the coordination of Rosatom State Corporation, the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Russian Defense Ministry, while assistance was provided by the IAEA. Thanks to this, specialists were able to implement the planned activities.

Restoration of the equipment is essential: it strengthens the reliability of the external power supply to the NPP, which is critical for the functioning of the plant’s safety systems and maintaining the necessary cooling regime for nuclear fuel.
