In the Murmansk region want to change the amount of funding for programs that relate to the environment and natural resources. This follows from the draft resolution on the Open Electronic Region portal.
Under the program “Protection, protection and reproduction of forests” in the Murmansk region in 2026 will spend 297.4 million rubles. A year earlier, the amount was 347.4 million rubles.
The budget will be reduced, which will be designed to “prevent and extinguish natural landscape fires”. The amount will decrease from 25.8 million rubles in 2025 to 19.6 million in 2026. Also, 1.7 million rubles will be allocated to “ensure the state of the mineral resource base of widespread minerals” when 2.2 million rubles were spent a year earlier.
At the same time, slightly more funds will be allocated to “the implementation of state policy in the spheres of environment, reproduction and use of natural resources”. Instead of 526.8 million rubles in 2025 — 556.2 million rubles in 2026.
Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” said that the cost of restoring forests in the Arctic has increased almost three times over the year.
