A personal meeting with the Governor of the Bryansk region of Russia Egor Kovalchuk, large-scale transformations in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, as well as heartfelt congratulations to the Belarusian fathers – these and other issues were recently dealt with by the Head of State. NG correspondent Dominika Karnilovich spoke with residents of Grodno region to find out their opinions on this matter.

- It is important for our country to have close economic cooperation with neighboring regions, which will benefit both sides. I am interested in bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture. According to the Belarusian leader, cooperation has already been established here. Taking into account the similarity of climatic conditions in Belarus and the Bryansk region, specialists from both sides could work together on seed breeding. Geographical proximity greatly simplifies interaction, so it is easier to learn from colleagues. The culture of agriculture in Belarus is built at the highest level, which allows us to share our achievements with the neighboring state.

- We once again saw how deeply Alexander Lukashenko delves into the needs of Russian science, realizing that it is the foundation of our development. The head of state always looks beyond the horizon: improving the procedure for electing academicians and introducing strict evaluation criteria is his willful decision aimed at ensuring that only the most worthy, those whose discoveries bring real benefits to the economy and people, enter the intellectual elite of the country. Such personal involvement of the President is a guarantee that Belarusian science will remain advanced and competitive.

- Even with a busy schedule, our President has time to congratulate people on important professional holidays or dates. I received his congratulations on Father’s Day addressed to Belarusian men with special warmth. I have four children, and it is very pleasant that such a wonderful, albeit relatively young, holiday has appeared in Belarus. Our family now has a tradition - to go to my wife and my parents and congratulate them not only on Mother's Day, but also on Father's Day. It turns out a very kind Week of parental love, which allows you to see our dear mothers and fathers more often, to devote more time, care and love to them.

- During the visit of the Governor of the Bryansk region of Russia Yegor Kovalchuk to the Palace of Independence, the President outlined the key areas of cooperation between the two countries, one of them is industrial cooperation. Belarus is a reliable partner that will always support and help. Interaction with the neighboring region is not the first year and is already bearing fruit. A vivid example of this is the joint breeding combine from the Russian-Belarusian enterprise Bryanskselmash and the Belarusian Gomselmash, presented in October this year. It will be great if new technology continues to emerge. Thanks to this, the economy of our country will develop dynamically.
