“We, the girls on motorcycles, not enough – that’s why they love”: Tomsk told about motorbike travel abroad, her talisman and attitude to women behind the wheel
Tomichka Victoria Guseva sat behind the wheel of a motorcycle four years ago - and since then has been on the road every summer

Victoria began her acquaintance with bikes as a child as a passenger. First she skated with her father, and later, having grown up, she cut through Tomsk with friends. Victoria got behind the wheel of a motorcycle only in 2022. The decision to buy her own bike came spontaneously: the friends were going on a trip to the Altai, and she decided to join, having previously received the rights of category “A”. There was no driving experience, but it didn't stop the girl:
It was in Altai, after the first hundred kilometers, that I realized: this is mine. Since then, in the summer I can not keep at home, and I always save my vacation for the summer to go on a trip.
32 days and 15,000 kilometers
Victoria's longest journey came in 2025. On the road she spent 32 days and traveled 15 thousand kilometers. The route covered Teriberka, Belarus, St. Petersburg and Kazan.
“I was originally a company, but I came back alone – the guys had to go to work earlier,” she recalls.
In the same trip, she set a personal record: a day traveled 1,560 kilometers. She did it for the sake of the award - the standard "Siberian moonshine", for which you need to overcome more than 1,500 kilometers in 24 hours.
Who would have thought I would be proud of a paper
When I take off my helmet, people are surprised
The stereotype that a woman driving a motorcycle is an unnatural phenomenon, according to Victoria, really lives. But she didn’t see any negativity in her direction.
“There are not as many girls driving a motorcycle as there are guys, and there is always more attention to them. And those who go on long journeys, generally few. When I take off my helmet, people are like, Wow, woman! Sometimes I can get gassed up, get coffee, offer help.”.
Especially warm, according to her, other motorcyclists and truckers are motorcycle riders. And when looking for a place to stay in an unfamiliar city, there are always those who are ready to help:
“So the female motorcyclists are loved especially – we are not enough.”.
Where to go to Tomicham
With places for riding in Tomsk, according to Victoria, the problem. There are no special areas or trails where you can drive without disturbing others in the city:
“There are more or less empty tracks, but there is still traffic there. The nearest track for motorcyclists is in the Kemerovo region, in Topki. We only have an enduro track, there are often competitions. So if you want to drive for real, go to Topki
No equipment anywhere
Equipment, according to Victoria, is a must. She herself is one of those who even a couple of intersections before work goes in full protection: motobots, pants and a jacket with protective inserts, gloves and a helmet. In the heat and cool weather it has different sets - only three:
“Often I even chastise girls who like to ride beautifully around the city in leggings.”.
The “no equipment anywhere” rule works not only for drivers but also for passengers. Victoria, for example, is invariably accompanied by a toy goose. And even the plush companion got its own "protective" element:
I had a special helmet made to order, so even the goose skates in defense.
The night is a quest
Traveling on a motorcycle is not only a road and meeting sunsets, but also, periodically, finding a place to sleep. Night can catch anywhere: in the field, on the road, in an unfamiliar city. And then the real quest begins:
“Sometimes you just drive down the highway, it gets dark, you look for a package to put up a tent. This is my favorite: I like to wake up in nature and make fresh coffee in the morning. Sometimes you have to look for hotels nearby. And in some cities there are bikeposts - originally they were made as a free overnight stay for motorcycle travelers. Now many have switched to a paid basis, but somewhere preserved free, usually there is a piggy bank: as much as you think necessary, so much and leave.
Pamir is waiting
This year, Victoria made her wish come true - she was on a motorcycle in Turkey, in Cappadocia, and took photos against the background of balloons. But there is a route that is still a dream:
“The world is huge, life is not enough to go everywhere. But there is one unclosed gestalt - the Pamir tract. Pamir's waiting. Someday I'll get to him
