Natalia Kochanova congratulates residents and guests of Minsk on City Day

Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, authorized representative of the Head of State in Minsk Natalia Kochanova congratulated residents and guests of the capital on the 959th anniversary of Minsk, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

- On behalf of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and myself personally, I cordially congratulate you on the City Day, the message reads.

Modern Minsk is the largest political, economic and cultural center of our country. It rightfully bears the title of one of the safest and most comfortable megacities in the world.

Kochanova noted that the main wealth and soul of our capital are the people who live and work here:

- It is your concern and responsibility that creates the unique image of Minsk, of which we are all proud.

I express special words of gratitude to people of various professions, whose daily creative work, skill and sincere love for their native city make Minsk even more beautiful, cozy and well-groomed, creating a reliable foundation for the future of our capital.

Minsk is a hero city. In the harsh years of the Great Patriotic War, our valiant defenders did not let the eternal flame of life in the capital go out. A low bow to veterans and all who raised it from the ruins to the post-war hardship.

The Chairman of the Council of the Republic wished the residents and guests of the city peace, health, prosperity and new victories in all endeavors:
