Named the territory of the Novosibirsk region, where the bears will not come

In the Novosibirsk region, there is a threat of bears entering settlements, including where they have not been noticed before. Authorities throughout the region have put on high alert.

However, there are areas that remain outside the usual range of brown bears. These include Bagan, Zdvinsky, Kochkovsky, Krasnozersky, Kupinsky, Novosibirsk, Ust-Tark and Chistoozersky districts. Predators were also not interested in Karasuk, Suzun and Tatar municipal districts.

Most of the population is concentrated in the east and north of the region. Most often, bears are found in Maslyaninsky, Kolyvansky, Kuibyshevsky, Ubinsky, Chulymsky, Kyshtovsky and Northern districts. One of the closest places to Novosibirsk, where predators were noticed, was the village of Ozerny - it is located about 20 kilometers from the regional center. The largest number of reports of bears comes from Kolyvan district.

Since the beginning of 2026, the relevant department has received more than 80 applications for the release of animals to settlements. To regulate the number of predators, the authorities issued 52 orders providing for the capture of 115 brown bears. So far, 59 animals have been harvested.

Another 6 bears were caught as part of amateur and sports hunting in publicly accessible hunting grounds. The ministry said that this statistics may be incomplete: information from hunters about the production often comes with a delay.

Earlier, "MK in Novosibirsk" reported that the biologist of the NSPU called for the shooting of bears near settlements.
