NCL opens Norwegian Bella reservation

The sailing routes will include seven-day fabulous Mediterranean cruises departing and returning from Barcelona, Spain.

Norwegian BellaTM will be the final ship in NCL’s groundbreaking Prima series.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), a leader in freedom and uncompromising service, opens today for booking its next innovative vessel, Norwegian BellaTM, which from May 2028 will offer seven-day Mediterranean cruises departing and returning from Barcelona, Spain.

The Norwegian Bella will be approximately 344 metres long, with a gross tonnage of 170,000 tonnes and a double seating capacity of 3,921 guests, joining the Norwegian Aura as one of the two largest ships in the fleet. In its first season, the liner will offer guests unrivalled opportunities to explore Europe’s most fascinating destinations, including Rome, Florence and Salerno in Italy, Marseille in France, and Palma de Mallorca in Spain.

Norwegian Bella will offer a similar experience to the Norwegian Aura, the company’s newest vessel scheduled to enter service in May 2027. While Norwegian Bella will sail on European waters and Norwegian Aura will operate in the Caribbean, NCL will showcase its latest hospitality concepts in two of the world’s leading cruise regions. Both vessels are currently under construction at Italian shipyards Fincantieri, and the interior design was created by world-renowned architects AD Associates, Piero Lissoni, Rockwell Group, SMC Design and Studio Dado.

“Norwegian Bella marks an important milestone in our fleet with the completion of the award-winning Prima Class series,” said Gary Anslow, Vice President, Middle East, Norwegian Cruise Line. Drawing on the innovation and guest feedback that has shaped the series since its inception, Norwegian Bella brings together our most sought-after entertainment on one exceptional vessel. From renovated outdoor spaces and family-friendly attractions to improved areas designed for relaxation and sharing, every detail is carefully thought out to give guests the freedom and flexibility to go on vacation exactly the way they want, without having to compromise. We look forward to welcoming our guests on a journey of discovery across the Mediterranean aboard Norwegian Bella.

Norwegian Bella will offer a wide range of updated entertainment, including:

Ocean Heights: Outdoor activities from morning to night

Ocean HeightsTM, which extends from 18 to 21 decks, includes outdoor recreation areas located on several levels. During the day, it serves as a sun-drenched space for active recreation, and with the onset of darkness turns into a bright outdoor entertainment center with spectacular lighting and LED projections.

From friendly competitions to adrenaline-filled adventures, Norwegian Bella offers unforgettable entertainment for guests of all ages. Test lovers will be able to compete side-by-side on the Eclipse Racers track, ride the Bella Free Fall waterslide or test themselves on The Wave, a pendulum-style inflatable raft waterslide designed for four participants.

For those looking for the most adrenaline, The Drop dry slide, which has become the hallmark of the Prima series, will allow guests to rush down through ten decks in seconds.

Entertainment continues on the Bella Ropes Course and in the Bella Midway area, bringing the classic carnival atmosphere right to the open sea. On Deck 20, guests can improve their kicking skills on a nine-hole mini-golf course or discover Moon Climber, a colorful multi-level adventure route that does not require the use of safety belts.

Ocean Boulevard: Seascapes, Family Spaces and an Endless Beach

The Ocean Boulevard promenade, encircling the entire ship on deck 8, is one of the distinctive features of the Prima series. On board the Norwegian Bella, it will offer more seating compared to the Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, as well as hot tubs and a street bar.

In the center of the complex is Infinity Beach, where guests can enjoy magnificent panoramic pools, luxurious sun loungers, hot tubs and a full-service open-air bar.

At the disposal of young guests will be entertainment areas adapted for different ages. Little Explorers' Cay will include a game house and slides for children aged two to six. Adventure Alley will offer six- to ten-year-olds an interactive playground with manholes, winding tunnels and creative maritime adventures. Teenagers will be able to enjoy Surf's Bay, a modern area that includes a spectacular photo zone in the form of a surf wall, perfect for a selfie in the middle of the sea.

Extended pool deck, water games for the whole family and an adult-only recreation area

The Norwegian Bella pool deck, which outsizes the pools on Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna by more than 15 percent, offers more space and seating, a panoramic hot tub and a large LED screen, creating the perfect backdrop for calm days at sea.

Top deck entertainment also includes Kids' Aqua Park, a children's water park with an updated water spray zone and interactive water rides.

There will be two family-friendly water slides nearby: The Party Slide, a wide and shallow slide allowing families and friends to have fun together, and the Infinity Loop, a slide shaped like an eight. Guests looking for sun and ocean views will find plenty of seating and outdoor play space at Horizon Park, located on Deck 19.

For those looking for a quieter and more luxurious getaway, Vibe Beach Club offers NCL's signature adult-only experience in an elegant setting, including a panoramic Jacuzzi, a central bar with sea views, renovated lounge areas, sun loungers and comfortable couches.

Equipped cabins and exceptional levels of luxury at THE HAVEN BY NORWEGIAN®

Norwegian Bella will offer nearly 2,000 carefully designed cabins of various categories, from interior rooms and studios to spacious balcony options. This diversity will allow holidaymakers of all types, including families and multigenerational groups, to enjoy the comfort of the sea along with branded hospitality and customized NCL service.

On board will be 159 suite-class cabins at The Haven by Norwegian, an exclusive and luxurious NCL area offering a separate space inside the ship with key card access.

The complex, designed by Piero Lissoni, will be located in the aft of the liner and will include private elevators, a sun deck with a panoramic pool, two hot tubs, an outdoor sauna and a cooling room, as well as separate areas for families and adult guests.

Guests of The Haven will be able to enjoy a private restaurant and bar with an exclusive menu, as well as a special lounge. Additional privileges include round-the-clock butler and concierge services, as well as priority boarding, disembarkation and seat booking.

New and stunning work of art on the hull of the ship

Continuing NCL’s tradition of collaborating with renowned artists to create unique hull paintings of the fleet, Norwegian Bella will present an original and vibrant design from contemporary Australian artist George Rose.

Known for her bold wall paintings and colorful botanical works, Rose creates works that combine art and design through rich colors, smooth color transitions and nature-inspired graphic forms.

Over a more than fifteen-year career, Rose has represented her work in a variety of cultural, social and commercial contexts around the world, including collaborations with the STRAAT Museum in Amsterdam, the Australian Embassy in Indonesia, the Colab Gallery in Germany and international brands such as Instagram, Nike and TikTok.

Commenting on this collaboration, Rose said: Creating a piece that will adorn the Norwegian Bella case was an opportunity to capture the sense of wonder that travel evokes. With vibrant colors, organic shapes and a sense of movement, I wanted to create a work that reflected the excitement of exploration and discovery. I look forward to seeing my creation come to life on a ship that will visit the most picturesque corners of Europe, and I hope it will become part of the memories that guests will create during their journey.
