The failed meeting cost Lipchan tens of thousands of rubles

Over the past week, residents of the Lipetsk region lost more than 3.5 million rubles due to theft from bank accounts and fraud. Police received two reports of embezzlement of money from cards and accounts and seven of fraudulent activities.

One of the victims is a 20-year-old resident of the Dankovsky district. On October 17, he contacted the local police department and said that during treatment he registered on a dating site. Calling the number indicated there, the young man met a girl who offered to meet at home.

First, the man was required 3 thousand rubles for the entrance to the apartment, then – to pay the “insurance” of the girl’s health. Of the necessary 24 thousand rubles, he transferred 20 thousand. The meeting never took place and the applicant asked for the money back.

After that, instead of the girl, he was contacted by a man who introduced himself as her supervisor. He said that due to the actions of the client, the site allegedly stopped working, and demanded 25 thousand rubles for its restoration. Dankov transferred the money, but after another request stopped the conversation.

The next day, the man went to the police. In total, he transferred 48 thousand rubles to fraudsters.
