Preventive meeting with foreign citizens was organized in Minsk. It invited those who arrived in the Republic of Belarus at the invitation of the capital enterprises and have a work visa. This was reported to the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti” in the Frunze police department.

- The main purpose of such meetings is to help in adapting to local legislation, explained Mikhail Dvorko, Deputy Head of the Frunze Department of Internal Affairs. Explaining legal features to foreigners and preventing possible offenses.
The police did not limit themselves to theory. They focused on real examples when foreigners violated the law. Particular attention was paid to the observance of traffic rules and the consequences of “easy earnings”.
Head of the Department of traffic police MOB Frunze police Department of Minsk Sergey Voronin recalled that traffic violations can lead to serious, sometimes tragic consequences, and urged drivers to be extremely attentive and responsible on the roads. So are pedestrians. Especially in the dark.
Mm. Dvorko elaborated on illegal activities masquerading as quick earnings. The desire for easy money can become a trap for visitors.
- First of all, this is a part-time job as couriers of telephone scammers or drug distributors through online stores, Dvorko explained. - The consequences are very serious. They entail not only criminal liability with many years of imprisonment, but also expulsion with a subsequent ban on entry into the country for up to 10 years. Do not risk your future for dubious gain.
The deputy head of OGIM gave several examples. Thus, drug control operatives detained a 23-year-old foreigner who in Belarus wanted to get a job as a mortgagee of an online store selling psychotropics. He did not even have time to complete the test task. The young man was detained red-handed, with him and in the caches found and seized at least 20 g of especially dangerous psychotropic substance 4-SMS. The defendant admitted that he planned to earn money for a trip to Europe, so he found an “easy” job as a courier of a drug store on the Internet and received several first tasks.
Also during the meeting, law enforcement officers explained in detail the procedure for concluding employment contracts with foreigners. M. Dvorko stressed that strict compliance with labor legislation is not a formality, but an important component of protecting the rights of workers and an effective tool to combat shadow employment.
- Only with the correct design of labor relations, we can ensure transparency of processes and create safe conditions for both employers and employees themselves, the deputy head of the UGM emphasized.
