Premature girl with extremely low weight saved Volgograd doctors
Little Amina was born at the 32nd week of pregnancy with a weight of only 890 grams and a height of 34 centimeters

Specialists of the Volgograd perinatal center No. 2 came out a girl who was born much prematurely. As reported in the regional health service, in connection with the pronounced delay in fetal development, doctors decided on an emergency delivery by caesarean section.
From the first minutes of life, the child needed the close attention of doctors and specialized help. For two weeks, the girl was in the intensive care unit of newborns. Further treatment took place in the department of pathology of newborns and premature babies. Doctors had to overcome a number of complications, including disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, prolonged oxygen dependence and infectious diseases.
Thanks to complex therapy, round-the-clock observation of doctors and gradual weight gain, the baby’s condition stabilized. When Amina reached a weight of 1800 grams, doctors were able to completely abandon oxygen support.
Today, the girl is breathing herself, actively developing, gaining weight well - in general, there are no health problems that could interfere with discharge. Amina and her mother finally went home.
Work to improve the availability and quality of medical care for residents of the region continues with the involvement of resources of regional and federal health programs and the national project “Long and active life”.
