Unsuitable housing for 72-year-old Lipchanka will be put in order thanks to the Prosecutor’s office

The Prosecutor’s office of Yelets has achieved through the court overhaul of the municipal apartment, provided 72-year-old resident of the city.

A woman has been in need of housing for many years. In May 2026, she was allocated a one-room apartment with an area of more than 28 square meters, but the pensioner could not settle in: the room was unsuitable for living.

The inspection revealed damage to the walls, floor and ceiling, structural malfunctions, as well as violations of sanitary, technical and fire protection requirements.

The prosecutor appealed to the court with a claim to the city administration, demanding to bring the housing in proper condition. The court granted the claims. The implementation of the decision remains under the control of the prosecutor's office.
