Novgorod will go to the colony for alimony debt of 700 thousand rubles

The court sentenced Novgorod to 5 months and 3 days in prison for non-payment of alimony. The mother owed her child more than 700 thousand rubles, said the joint press service of the courts of the Novgorod region.

The woman had to give a quarter of the income monthly to support the child. She was already punished with mandatory work (40 hours), but she did not work them. The careless mother increased the debt to 700 thousand rubles.

She did not try to get a job to help her child. The court took into account mitigating circumstances: the woman fully admitted guilt and repented. She was sentenced to 5 months 3 days of imprisonment with serving in a general regime correctional colony.
