Novgorod psychiatrists treated patients in unregistered robes

The territorial body of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare in the Novgorod region announced a warning to the Novgorod Clinical Specialized Psychiatry Center for violations committed when buying robes. This information is posted on the website of the State Prosecutor’s Office.

In June of this year, the hospital received a batch of disposable procedural gowns under the state contract. The goods were accepted without comment and by the time of the inspection had already been completely spent. However, when studying the accompanying documents, it turned out that the registration certificate was issued not for individual robes, but for sets of medical clothing.

The manufacturer's technical documentation prohibits the sale and use of elements of such kits in individual packages. There was also no record of the registration of individual procedural gowns of this supplier in the state register. The supervisory authority stressed that the employees of the institution did not verify the actual goods with the registration dossier during acceptance. Because of this, an unregistered product could be in medical circulation.
