Novgorod project “Voi in the spotlight” became one of the hundred best in Russia

The Novgorod region presented the project “SVOi in the spotlight” at the forum “Strong Ideas for New Time”. The system of assistance to the families of participants of the special military operation, created in our region, is among the hundred best projects. In total, 48 thousand applications were received from all over Russia, the governor of the Novgorod region Alexander Dronov said.

Emergency social assistance centers have been opened in all municipal districts. Assistance to relatives of participants of the SVO is built on the principle of one window. The social coordinator assigned to each family explains what support measures can be counted on, helps to find work, and, if necessary, sends them to free psychologists or lawyers.

Particular attention is paid to children. Parents can contact them for psychological help in a counseling center, bring them to the art therapy studio for classes. There is also an outdoor service that comes to help the guys. In the future, it is planned to develop these areas and expand support for families.

For 2026-2027, more than 26 million rubles from the budget of the Novgorod region and the funds of the Fund for Support of Children in Difficult Life Situations are provided for the implementation of the project.

“It is important for us that the families of the participants of the SVO know where to turn and can get help when it is needed,” Alexander Dronov said.
