Novocherkassk brewery put up for sale for 250 million rubles
Brewery with a century of history in Novocherkassk sell for 250 million rubles

A brewery with a century of history in Novocherkassk sells for 250 million rubles. The enterprise with a hundred-year history is located in a brick production building built in 1904 on Frunze, 100.
The announcement of the sale appeared on the popular online platform on October 6.
Despite its venerable age, the plant is actively used - currently several premises are rented by various organizations, including a fish shop, a car service, a restaurant and a supermarket chain. On the territory of the enterprise there is also a boiler room, basement and sewerage system.
According to open sources, we are talking about the South Brewery. However, according to historical data, this place has a much longer history. Previously, the brewery of brothers Oscar and Herman Bazener was located here.
Representatives of the Bazener family, whose ancestors were originally from Austria, settled in southern Russia and made a significant contribution to the development of local industry. After the departure of August Bazener from business, the management of the enterprise passed to his sons: Herman got the plant in Taganrog, and Oscar in Novocherkassk.
Beer, produced under the brand name of the Bazener brothers, enjoyed well-deserved popularity. Special recognition of products was given by original porcelain jugs and glass bottles with a volume of half a liter, equipped with a reusable folding porcelain stopper. On each bottle was a clear inscription: "Beer factories of brothers O. and G. Bazener".
