Novosibirsk told about the probability of magnetic storms on September 22

According to Russian astrophysicists, the geomagnetic background during the day will remain within the normal range, fluctuating around 1.3-2.0 points on the Kp index. According to the international classification, such minimum values correspond to absolutely calm space weather. Despite the fact that on the eve of the Sun there was a series of local explosions (three flashes of middle class C), the parameters of the solar wind are at low levels, and the protective shield of the Earth reliably blocks external influence.

The probability of a full-fledged magnetic storm in the Novosibirsk region is only 3%, and the chance of living a day with a full geomagnetic calm is 82%. This guarantees the most comfortable conditions for weather-sensitive Siberians: cosmic factors will not provoke headaches or blood pressure jumps.

Experts of the West Siberian UGMS note that if Novosibirsk residents feel a slight malaise or drowsiness, then this should be associated not with flares on the Sun, but with earth weather - the passage of a cool atmospheric front and high morning humidity.

However, experts from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory (ICI) and ISZF advise weather-dependent people not to relax for a long time. The current lull is temporary. In connection with the autumn equinox, the total activity of space is traditionally increased, and the next noticeable wave of geomagnetic disturbances will cover the planet at the end of the week. Between September 24 and September 26, a moderate magnetic storm of Kp=5 (G1 class) is predicted, which will require more caution from sensitive citizens.

Earlier, MK in Novosibirsk reported that weather forecasters sharply worsened the weather forecast for October-November.
