The new federal state educational standard (FSEF) will be effective from September 1, 2027, but only tenth-graders will be the first to switch to it. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Education of Russia.
The department specified that students of grades 11 in the 2027/28 academic year will continue to master the program according to the current standard. Thus, the changes will affect primarily schoolchildren, who in the autumn of 2027 will begin training in high school.
The new GEF provides several options for organizing the educational process. High school students will be able to study all subjects at a basic level or choose advanced training in one of six profiles.
Agrotechnological, natural-scientific, humanitarian, socio-economic, technological and universal directions are provided.
The standard also specifies the permissible learning load. For two years of study in grades 10 and 11, its total volume should be from 2312 to 2516 hours. The maximum weekly load for each class is limited to 37 hours.
