Updated overpass opened to the Day of National Unity in Novopolotsk

In Novopolotsk for the Day of national unity opened an updated overpass No. 3 on Blokhina street, connecting the city with the industrial zone, reports the correspondent sb.by.

An important infrastructure facility connects the city with the industrial zone. Work on it was performed ahead of schedule and took only 10 months. During this time, the structures on the transport artery were strengthened, some sections under the overpass were replaced, a new barrier fence and asphalt concrete covering were made. Thanks to the efforts of bridge builders, the safety margin of the structures has increased by decades, and the appearance of the object has acquired modern features.

The head of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Rogozhnik congratulated Novopolochan on the significant event

- Not only are bridges being built, schools are being built, and a large-scale housing program is being implemented in the country. Belarus is developing dynamically, and our strength lies in unity. The more united we are, the stronger our wonderful and beloved country will be.

Addressing the citizens, Alexander Rogozhnik also noted that Novopolotsk is a unique city. It is all the more pleasant to see the positive changes taking place here, the chairman of the regional executive committee stressed:

- I am very glad that your city is blossoming, that everything is in flowers, everything is clean and orderly. It means that you love your city and your country. On the eve of National Unity Day, I want to wish your families well-being and happiness so that our future generations, like us, love their country with all their heart and try to make it even better.

The honorary right to be the first to pass on the new overpass was granted to vehicles of enterprises and organizations of Novopolotsk. They were followed by labor collectives. Among them, along with colleagues, followed by an employee of OJSC "Naftan" Andrey Tychina, the progress of work on the overpass was probably followed by all citizens, because in the industrial zone there are many enterprises with large labor collectives. If we take into account only "Naftan" and "Polymir" - about 10 thousand people, shared Naftanovets:

- It was often noted that work on the overpass was carried out non-stop, even on weekends. Travel time, of course, significantly increased when repairs were underway, which created a certain inconvenience. However, all treated with understanding, because transport logistics is one of the most important components for the effective functioning of the city and factories. In addition, the overpass has expanded the lanes, made more competent organization of traffic, which, I am sure, will increase security.

Attention to the transformation of Novopolotsk, sharpened employee of the construction organization of JSC "Trust No. 16 Novopolotsk" Tatyana Sharokh :

- In recent years, our city has become much better, and this is noticeable to all residents. Thanks, among other things, to our enterprise, new microdistricts are growing - new buildings are already visible from Polotsk. Everyone can see the efforts of municipal services to improve the city. Courtyards are transformed, beautiful topiary compositions, sports grounds, interesting objects for citizens and young people appear. Now the improvement is in the park "Measuring Forest" and on the territory of the ravine in microdistrict No. 8.

By the end of 2025, Novopolotsk was recognized as the winner of the republican review of sanitary condition and improvement of settlements. We try to keep the bar high, citing specific examples, the chairman of the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee Igor Burmistrov emphasized:

- Among the objects of improvement of this year, in addition to the overpass No. 3 on Blokhina Street, there are also repairs of the street-road network along the streets of School, Dzerzhinsky, Blokhin, Vasilevtsi, Parkova. Since the beginning of the year, the view of yard territories at different addresses on the streets of Youth, School, Ktatorova has been transformed. Also, four sports grounds were repaired, street lighting was replaced along Komsomolsky Boulevard, Youth Street. Citizens have already managed to appreciate the updated pools in the Emerald FOK SDYUSHORE No. 2 and school No. 10. Changes are happening everywhere so that the city becomes cozy, more beautiful, more convenient and more comfortable for life. I am sure that all newcomers appreciate this, because it is important to maintain order not only in your home, but also in the place where you live, protect it and appreciate it.
