About 80% of Belarusians are satisfied with the result of applying to local authorities

About 80% of Belarusians are satisfied with the result of appeals to local authorities. This is evidenced by the results of the second part of a large-scale comprehensive republican sociological study, which concerns socio-political topics, the correspondent of sb.by reports.

78.2% of respondents answered this question positively, 21% - negatively. BISI analyst Svetlana Aleynikova noted that 78.2% of respondents from among those who applied to local authorities were satisfied with the final result. In other words, how their problem was solved:

- This is a very high indicator, a marker of high efficiency, because it is local authorities that concentrate people’s life problems. There are enough problems in everyday life and a quarter of respondents turn to local authorities to solve these issues. Here it is important to emphasize the difference: perhaps, with the exception of the judicial system, central state institutions are perceived as an institution that provides a function, but local authorities are the direct point of communication between a person and the state, where he comes with his problem.

According to the results of the sociological survey, 24.9% of respondents appealed personally to local authorities to resolve their questions, 74.3% did not apply. Answering the question, which form of dialogue between local authorities and the population is preferable, 52.5% of respondents indicated an official reception in the authorities, 50.7% - telephone hotlines and direct lines, 35.8% - consideration of written appeals of citizens, 32.1% - electronic appeal through the portals Appeal.Bel, 115.Bel, e-pasluga.by.

In this regard, the BISI analyst noted that the responses of the respondents very clearly traced a tradition characteristic of Belarusian society, a historically developed psychological feature - personal contact is still important for Belarusians:

- Accordingly, the preferred channels and forms of dialogue are official receptions of officials, hotlines, telephone lines. At the same time, the popularity of Internet addresses is growing – in the media, the Internet, social networks, instant messengers. Every fifth, 20% of respondents turn to these channels when bringing their problems to the level of local authorities, she said.

A separate question concerned confidence in the administration of their enterprise, organization, institution. Svetlana Aleynikova noted that the direct leader, the boss is the person who sees problems and delves into them, tries to resolve conflict situations if they arise. 70.9% of respondents answered this question positively. According to her, these results confirm the research of BISI, which was previously conducted jointly with the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus.

The BISI analyst also noted that citizens maintain a high level of trust in state institutions, but the content of trust itself changes. Citizens assess the state, first of all, through their own experience of interaction, through the availability of contact with the state and the result of resolving worrying problems.

- Accordingly, the closer to the state in the literal sense of the word, to the daily life of a person, the more concrete the expectation from him becomes. In this sense, the main indicator of the stability of the state is both a high level of trust, which we are talking about today, and the ability to turn this trust into a concrete result, said Svetlana Aleynikova. More than 80% of Belarusians feel themselves citizens of Belarus, a sovereign and independent country
