October in Saransk surprised by the temperature above 20 degrees
This value has not been recorded since 1974.

The middle of October in Saransk was unusually warm: on October 15, thermometers rose to 20.8 degrees. This value has not been recorded since 1974 - then the previous temperature maximum was 20.6 degrees. The city was among several centers of the Volga region, where weather records were updated on this day.
Spring warmth came to other cities in the district. In Cheboksary, the air warmed up to 19.9 degrees, in Yoshkar-Ola - up to 19.8, in Kirov - up to 19.7, and in Perm - up to 19.3 degrees. In all five cities, the figures exceeded previous highs for that date.
Record weather in the region for more than one day. On October 14, the temperature in Izhevsk reached 20.7 degrees, in Kirov - 19.3, and in Samara - 22.8 degrees. A day earlier, on October 12, new highs were registered in Nizhny Novgorod and Penza.
In Saransk, the temperature record was updated on October 12: the air warmed up to 20.2 degrees. The previous achievement, set in 1974, was 18.6 degrees.
Thus, an unusually warm October brought several record values to Mordovia at once. However, some days with summer temperatures do not mean that this weather will persist for a long time: autumn cooling can still change the period of heat.
