Senator from the Nizhny Novgorod region Olga Shchetinina was elected Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy. The politician reported this on his social networks.

In her new position, Shchetinina will continue to participate in the preparation of decisions on key issues of social policy: support for families with children, participants of the SVO and their relatives, as well as the protection of the older generation.

In addition, the senator will be engaged in the development of health care, employment issues and improving the social assistance system.
