Ombudsman of Stavropol region has obtained an inspection after a complaint of residents on a cafe in an apartment building
A resident of an apartment building in Stavropol appealed to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Stavropol Territory

A resident of an apartment building in Stavropol appealed to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Stavropol Territory. The woman told about violations of living conditions after opening a cafe on the first floor - in a former apartment transferred to a non-residential fund.
According to the applicant, extraneous smells, noise and vibration penetrate the living quarters, and sanitary standards are systematically violated. In addition, staff and goods are delivered through a common entrance, which, according to the woman, reduces the anti-terrorist protection of the house. She also pointed to the unauthorized redevelopment of the room.
The Commissioner sent an appeal to the supervisory authority. The prosecutor’s office, together with the relevant structures, organized a visit to the place with the participation of specialists, representatives of the management company and the applicant.
The inspection confirmed the fact of unauthorized redevelopment. The owner was ordered to bring the premises to the previous state in the prescribed time. If the requirements are not fulfilled voluntarily, the local self-government body initiates a judicial procedure. The execution of the order is controlled by the supervisory authority.
Materials in terms of possible violation of sanitary and epidemiological requirements were sent to the territorial administration of the profile service for inspection.
Residents were also explained that their house is included in the regional overhaul program: some work has already been completed, the rest are planned for the future. Work to protect the rights of residents continues.
