Another incident with the fall of stucco from the roof of a residential building in the center of Petrozavodsk occurred on October 14. The message was sent to the EDDS, from where the data was transferred to the regional management company for inspection and elimination of the threat. Local residents are urged to be vigilant when moving in the area.
The problem of dilapidated facades in the center of Petrozavodsk is systemic. So, in the spring of 2025, plaster collapsed on Krasnoarmeyskaya Street (house No. 32), damaging the roof of the basement floor. Despite the presence of a protective grid, the Criminal Code was obliged to carry out additional work to strengthen the structures. A similar situation developed on Lenin Avenue, 37: there fragments of stucco fell directly above the entrance to the PVZ. It is noteworthy that the building was updated for the 100th anniversary of the republic in 2020, but by the end of 2025 the facade began to collapse, and the contractor refused to bear warranty liability, which led to litigation.
In 2026, public attention was attracted by the state of stucco in Gagarin Square, which had to be covered with fabric. And in June of the same year on Alexander Nevsky Avenue (house No. 31) for a week twice recorded the fall of plaster on the sidewalk. Residents note that such “precipitation” from the roofs has become a constant problem for the historical center of the city.
