Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces Andrey Lukyanovich observed the progress of the maneuvers.

Anti-aircraft soldiers performed live firing from the S-300PS anti-aircraft missile system. The crews of Yak-130 combat training aircraft and Su-30SM fighters worked on a conditional enemy in the air. For units of anti-aircraft missile forces and aviation, high-speed specialized target complexes were targeted. Anti-aircraft gunners and aviators performed tasks with the support of a unit of radio technical troops.

As emphasized in the Ministry, the event of combat training of air force units and air defense troops was held at a high level and with high intensity of combat work. The soldiers coped with the task.

Andrei Lukyanovich recalled that operational-tactical exercises with the arms of the Air Force and air defense troops took place from August 25 to September 10. Air, anti-aircraft missile troops and radio technical troops were involved. The first stage took place in Belarus. In a few days, practical moments of overcoming the enemy air defense system, delivering air strikes on ground targets were worked out. In addition, attention was paid to the destruction of air attack weapons. The second stage was held at one of the ranges and airfields in Russia from 8 to 10 September.

“The main tasks faced by our air crews and combat crews were the detection, tracking and destruction of air targets. The emphasis was placed on countering the means of air attack. The emphasis was placed on countering unmanned aerial vehicles and high-precision cruise missiles, Andrei Lukyanovich said.

As commander, I checked the readiness of aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces and radio technical troops to work together on air targets. All the objectives of the exercises have been achieved, the analysis will be carried out by means of objective control. Later, an objective assessment will be given to all crews and calculations. This exercise created a complex target environment. Small and high-speed targets that simulate cruise missiles. Aviation crews, namely pilots, worked for such purposes for the first time, Andrei Lukyanovich noted.

One of the features of the exercises was that for the first time in the units of air defense forces tasks were performed by female military personnel. One of the combat crews was represented by cadets of the Faculty of Air Defense of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus, which included three girls. The cadets calculation, emphasized the commander of the Air Force and IDP, worked perfectly.
