Communications operator fined after stealing 5 million rubles from tula
The Prosecutor’s office of the Central district of Tula checked compliance with the legislation on communication

The Prosecutor’s office of the Central district of Tula checked compliance with the legislation on communication.
The reason was the case of a 50-year-old resident of the city, which from April to May 2026 received calls from cybercriminals – under the pretext of “changing bank details”, she stole more than 5 million rubles, the supervisory authority told MK in Tula.
It turned out that the operator did not fulfill the obligation to send information to the requirements control system in the provision of communication services.
As a result of the inspection, an administrative case was initiated under Part 3 of Article 13.2.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. The legal entity was fined 400 thousand rubles.
Earlier, “MK in Tula” reported that over Friday and weekend fraudsters stole from seven residents of the region more than 4.2 million rubles. The most lost 80-year-old tula – believing the call about the financing of terrorism, she gave a stranger 4 million rubles.
