Orlovtsy reminded how to protect data after the actions of fraudsters
The government of the region reminded Orlovtsy what to do if fraudsters got access to personal data, bank card, phone or account on public services

The government of the region reminded the Orlovtsy what to do if the fraudsters got access to personal data, bank card, phone or account on public services. In such situations, it is important to act quickly.
If intruders obtained bank card details, they can steal money or try to get a loan. Change the password and access code to the banking application, block cards and accounts, and then contact the bank by number on the card or official website. Warn loved ones not to transfer money to your accounts.
When hacking an account on the State Services, change the password and call the portal hotline. If you can log in to your account, check applications and permissions, including those issued to third-party services. The incident should also be reported to the police.
If scammers gained access to the phone, they can set up call and message forwarding to reset passwords and get login codes. Contact the mobile operator and follow the employee’s recommendations. Re-link accounts to another number, follow messages about blocking or re-issuing a SIM card and warn family and friends: on your behalf they can call or write attackers.
If you suspect that criminals used your data or stole money, contact the police. Use complex passwords and two-factor authentication to protect your accounts. Do not click on dubious links and do not tell anyone the codes from SMS and CVV-code of the card: real support services do not request them.
