In Orel, an innovative development was presented - a software and hardware complex that combines a bionic hand with myo-control and a diagnostic system for mechanisms. The author of the project, Darina Zhidkova, worked on the technology for more than 12 years. This is reported by the press service of the regional government.

The development is based on research of the Department of Instrumentation. Initially, scientists were looking for ways to diagnose wear of friction nodes, for example, in joint endoprostheses. Over time, the highly specialized project developed into a large-scale platform combining robotics, mechanics and intelligent diagnostics. Today, the technology is ready for use both in medicine and in the industrial sector.
