Orlovtsy sued money from utilities for barely warm water

Orel district court ordered MUP "OTS" to pay compensation to residents for the provision of poor-quality services. From the taps in the apartments of citizens instead of hot water flowed barely warm.

According to the press service of the court, the story began with the appeal of Rospotrebnadzor in the interests of five residents. Checks conducted by specialists of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology showed that the temperature of the water in the bathroom was only about 42 ° C. According to SanPiN standards, it should not be below 60 ° C.

Violations were recorded by experts repeatedly in January and June of this year. In addition, the fact of poor quality of services was confirmed by the prosecutor's inspection.

In court, representatives of MUP “OTS” could not deny the results of laboratory measurements. As a result, each of the five plaintiffs will be paid 15 thousand rubles as compensation for moral damage. In addition, the company will collect a fine of 7.5 thousand rubles for each victim.

The court decision has not yet entered into force and can be appealed.
