In Orel, a local resident contacted the police of the Factory District. She claimed to have stolen her phone and bank card. According to the girl, the incident occurred in one of the local bars. As it turned out, the victim rested in the institution all night. In the morning, she discovered that a smartphone worth almost 30 thousand rubles was missing from her jacket pocket.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, criminal investigation officers quickly identified the suspect - in just a day. The thief was a 26-year-old visitor to the same bar. The man pulled the phone out of the woman's pocket unnoticed by her. Under the cover of the gadget, he found a bank card and immediately put it into use: paid for purchases in the store, and also bought ice cream to passers-by for a total of 3.4 thousand rubles. The thief resold the smartphone for 3 thousand rubles, getting rid of the SIM card.

A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He is now under a travel ban and the investigation is ongoing.
