Autumn vacation-2026: 12 days of freedom and new hobbies of teenagers
It happened: students began a 12-day vacation — the longest in the last 10 years
The secret of why the autumn holidays have surpassed even the New Year holidays in duration lies in a lucky coincidence. On the recommendation of the Ministry of Education, they last 9 days - from October 26 to November 3, 2026. However, this year, the weekend (October 24 and 25) and the holiday of National Unity Day on November 4 are added to them. If the school operates on a five-day system, classes will resume only on Thursday, November 5.
During this week and a half, you can have a cultural rest (including with the help of the Pushkin Card), and tighten your studies, and read thick volumes on literature. But, according to the sad experience of many parents, all this risks ending with computer games and correspondence before four in the morning, and then going to bed before noon
Therefore, it is worth creatively rethinking the hobbies of children and adolescents of the “alpha” generation. Among them are those about whom not only parents in “elderly” age, but even their younger brothers and sisters-zoomers do not know.
