In the Frunze district court of Ivanov completed the consideration of the case of snow descent from the roof, which injured a person. In the dock was the 46-year-old head of the criminal code “Constant”.
The investigation and the court found that the director of the company ignored his duties on the maintenance of house No. 6 on Leningradskaya Street. In winter, he did not organize the cleaning of a huge accumulation of snow and ice from the roof, and did not put fences in dangerous areas.
On March 11, 2026, an ice block collapsed on a passerby. The man suffered moderate injuries.
The qualification “Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements” (Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) is used in judicial practice in such cases: when the inaction of the responsible person creates a real threat to life and leads to injuries.
The court took into account that the director had not previously been prosecuted and imposed a fine of 100,000 rubles. The decision can still be appealed.
