From idea to final product: Minskintercaps performs full cycle of drug production

UE Minskintercaps is a unique enterprise for Belarus specializing in the production of medicines in the form of soft gelatin capsules. During the press conference “Pharmindustry of Belarus: innovative methods in the development and implementation of medicines, biotechnology and new quality standards”, dedicated to the Day of Pharmaceutical and Microbiological Industry Workers, Vladislav Andreychenko, Director of the UE “Minskintercaps”, said.

He added:

- Soft gelatin capsules are widely used both in the production of drugs and biologically active additives. At the same time, there are few companies producing such products. In Belarus, Minskintercaps remains the only manufacturer of this dosage form, and in the post-Soviet space there are only a few such companies. Over the years, the company has accumulated significant competencies in the field of technology development, production and specialized equipment.

Now the company develops not only the production and sale of medicines and dietary supplements, but also offers partners their own scientific and production competencies. One of the promising areas was paid development. According to Vladislav Andreychenko, the company accompanies projects at all stages: from the emergence of an idea to the receipt of a finished drug in the form of a soft gelatin capsule.

The company demonstrates steady growth in key performance indicators. The completed plans are being implemented, production, sales and exports are increasing. The plant produces medicines in hard and soft gelatin capsules, with about 30 percent of products supplied to foreign markets. The main export destinations remain Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, the company is expanding the geography of supplies. Among the foreign markets to which products are already supplied are Iraq and Myanmar.
