From beach certification to shared routes. What will be discussed at the meeting of the working group on tourism in the Union State

The meeting of the working group on tourism within the Union State will be held on September 17-18 at the Zavidovo resort (Tver region of the Russian Federation). What issues will be discussed, told sb.by in the National Agency for Tourism.

Among the key topics are the exchange of experience on certification of beaches and standardization of ecological trails, monitoring and measurement of statistics of mutual tourist flow, creation and promotion of joint tourist routes.

Development of tourism products of the Union State for citizens of China and other priority foreign markets, development of tourist information centers of the United States, cooperation in the hotel sector will also be discussed.

For the Belarusian side, the Zavidovo experience is of particular interest in terms of master planning of tourist areas, financing infrastructure projects and the development of all-season tourist complexes. During the visit to the special economic zone of tourist and recreational type “Zavidovo”, it is planned to study the practice of creating and functioning of such zones, as well as mechanisms for attracting private investment in tourist infrastructure, the National Tourism Agency said.

Special economic zone of tourist-recreational type "Zavidovo" was created in 2015 in order to develop tourism, sports, fitness and health resorts in the Tver region, as well as attract private investment in the creation of a world-class all-season resort. The term of the SEZ is 49 years, the total area is 379.88 hectares. The territory is located on the banks of the Ivankovo Reservoir (“Moscow Sea”) and is focused on the development of family, inbound, business and cruise tourism.
