Resuscitated sculptures and youth festival. How the Frunze district celebrates the 959th anniversary of Minsk

The festive program for the City Day unfolded at once on two key sites of the Frunze district on September 12, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

Festivals in honor of the 959th anniversary of the capital are held in the parks named after the 60th anniversary of the Great October and the name of Hugo Chavez. As explained in the administration of the Frunze district, both venues organized traditional bright concerts, the work of shopping arcades, photo zones and interactive entertainment. But each holiday location has its own highlight.

The 60th anniversary of Great October is full of families. This is the best place to spend time with children. For young residents of the city organized a program "I am a little Minsk!". The green area has become a huge playground. The preschool education institutions of the district prepared various games and activities for young citizens: mazes, outdoor games with animators, competitions and competitions.

- This is a great opportunity for children to have fun, said Nadezhda, who came to the park with her 4-year-old daughter Lisa. I tried my hand at every game in an hour. This is a wonderful gift for children and adults.

More than 40 sculptures of Minsk came to life on the site near the central stage of the park. Schools and gymnasiums of the Frunze district have created living images familiar to many, such as “Little General” near the building of the Suvorov school, “Seed Trade” and “Lady with a Dog” from Komarovka, “Uncle Antos” from the Western market, “Stranger” from Mikhailovsky Square and many others. Everyone can take a picture with them and support the most successful and recognizable image through interactive voting - thus the winner of the audience sympathies contest will be determined.

- This is an amazing and unusual experience, admitted Victoria Martynenko, the girl appeared in the image of the sculpture “Hospitable Belarus”, she represents secondary school No 59. Children and adults run to me and take pictures. Thanks and encouragement. Smiles and positivity.

As Victoria admitted, the positive emotions that the guests of the holiday give are invaluable. Moreover, the more people who want to take a joint photo, the more strength she has.

I am grateful to my sister Xenia, the teacher-organizer of secondary school No. 59, who offered to participate in this amazing competition. I myself am a 2nd year student and am studying to be an architect-designer, Martynenko added.

But the conversation “Little General” of secondary school No. 41 failed. The sculpture was silent and did not answer questions. The student of the 7th grade Artem Tsentsevitsky completely got used to the role.

Guests of the holiday could play checkers and chess, mini-football, watch open-air exhibitions, participate in lotteries and competitions. To eat in the food court area or enjoy the performances of artists on the main stage.

- Today is a wonderful holiday, said the head of the administration of the Frunze district Artem Shegidevich. Our hero city Minsk is 959 years old. We, our children have fun and have fun under the peaceful blue sky of Belarus. Children's laughter is the best gift to the capital.

Ah. Shegidevich recalled that the district festivities are held in the Hugo Chavez Park. I invited young people there by 17:00, when the Frunze Fest, a bright youth event, will begin. The organizers promised top tracks and explosive sound in the open air. Popular youth performers will perform on the stage. Frunze Fest will last until 20:00.
