A couple from Zapolyarny with 60 years of experience received the title of “Golden family” in the Kremlin

In Moscow, in the Grand Kremlin Palace, the ceremony of awarding the winners of the All-Russian competition “Family of the Year” was held. This was reported by the press service of the administration of the Pechenga district.

The winners were honored in six nominations: “Large Family”, “Young Family”, “Rural Family”, “Golden Family”, “Family – Keeper of Traditions” and “Family of the Defender of the Fatherland”. In the nomination “Golden family” won the Kobyakov family from the Polar.

Yuri and Valentina have been together for 60 years. Most of their lives were devoted to the geology and mining industry of the Kola Arctic. In retirement, they created a Museum of Military Glory on the Musta Tunturi Ridge. Yuri conducts excursions, and Valentina helps with routes and keeps the tradition of Vologda lace.

Their children and grandchildren also chose the path of geologists and miners. The county congratulated the family on their victory and wished their story to inspire others.

Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” reported that on the eve of the Day of Love, Family and Loyalty in Murmansk, 21 strong couples were awarded.
