'80s wheelchair and disco parade. How to celebrate the City Day in the Pervomaysky district

Celebrations dedicated to the 959th anniversary of the capital, are held in different parts of Pervomaisky district on September 12, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

Near the National Library there was a carnival show of wheelchairs "Batskawa Dzeci", which gathered more than 70 participants. The organizers of the event, which is held in Pervomaisk for the second time, were the district administration and the local organization of the NGO “Belarusian Union of Women”.

- It was with great pleasure that I opened these competitions. I was glad to see so many happy faces of the participants, said Larisa Pokusayeva, Chairman of the Pervomaysky District Organization of the Belarusian Women’s Union. I congratulate all citizens and guests of the capital on the City Day!

According to the terms of the competition, it was necessary to arrange a baby carriage using devices that do not interfere with its movement and do not pose a danger to children. The organizers chose four themes: “National Color”, “Fairy Stroller”, “Wheel of Time” (retro) and “Wheelchair of the original genre”.

- We are participating in the competition for the second year, we chose the nomination “Wheelchair of the original genre”, said Olga Kostenko, an employee of Minskkommunteploset, mother of many children. We want to show that we have creative people.

Good luck to all participants, but I am rooting for Sushko! This is a large family, my mother works as a math teacher in a gymnasium. They decided to take part in the competition, and the staff of the educational institution supports them today! – said the Deputy of the Minsk City Council Tatiana Kostyuk.

Another festive zone unfolded in the Apple Square, which is located at the intersection of the street. Kalinovsky et al. Independence. Thematic platforms were presented by enterprises and organizations of Pervomaisky. Amateur groups perform, outbound trade works. At 18:00, the Disco 80s will begin, which will last until 20:00.

Also, festive cultural and entertainment programs in Pervomaisky district are organized on the street. Heroes of the 120th Division, on the Children's Railway and in the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus.
