Pavel Malkov: Ryazan farmers have prepared 1.2 million tons of feed for the winter

In the Ryazan region, the formation of a feed base for the livestock industry continues. According to the Governor of the region Pavel Malkov, at the moment, farmers have already deposited 1.2 million tons of feed, including 518,000 tons of hay and 63 thousand tons of hay.

The farms are also actively harvesting silage corn, the volume of harvested silage reached 650 thousand tons.

“The harvesting of winter feed continues. We plan that this year the total volume of coarse and juicy feed will be 1.4 million tons, said Pavel Malkov.

The head of the region also reported a significant increase in the livestock sector. Over the past year, the number of cows in the Ryazan region increased by 3.3%, poultry by 19%, and pigs by 52%.
