The administration of the Guards district reminded what actions are prohibited during the operation of furnaces and how to protect the house from fire.

It is forbidden to use flammable liquids for ignition. The firewood should not exceed the size of the furnace, and during combustion, the furnace door should not be left open or allowed to heat it.

A working stove cannot be left unattended. It is also forbidden to instruct children to monitor the fire. Coal, coke or gas can only be used in furnaces that are specifically designed for this purpose.

Before the furnace door, it is necessary to provide protection of the floor from non-combustible material. The size of such sheet or plate should be at least 70 by 50 centimeters, and the long side should be located along the door of the furnace.
