“Pension will grow to almost 30 thousand”: what awaits Russians in 2027

In 2027, payments will be indexed twice, and the average old-age insurance pension may grow by about 2,600 rubles, to almost 30,000. This was told by Professor of the Financial University Alexander Safonov.

The first indexation is February 1, by 6.8%. The average pension will be 29,179.05 rubles. The second is April 1, plus 3.3% of the insurance part. As a result, the average size will reach 29,903.81 rubles.

"After the first indexation, the average pension will grow by about 1,857.84 rubles, after the second - by another 724.76 rubles," Safonov explained.

However, the February percentage may change - it all depends on the final data of Rosstat on inflation for 2026.

Pensions in 2027 will receive 43 million people. Indexing will affect everyone – both working and non-working. Each will have their own increase, depending on the size of the pension.

And in December, some pensioners will receive two insurance pensions for December and January. This is due to the New Year holidays, which will last from December 31, 2026 to January 10, 2027. There is no need to write any statements - the money will be transferred automatically.

In November, the surcharge will be received by those who in October turned 80 years old, who first received group I disability, as well as pensioners with dependents. The fixed payment will double to 19,169 rubles per month (without district coefficients). And citizens over 80 years will automatically add 1,413 rubles for care.
