Penza won in the nomination “Flagship of large families” of the all-Russian competition “Family Capital of Russia”

Penza became the winner in the nomination “Flagship of many children” of the all-Russian competition “Family Capital of Russia”. The results of the competition were summed up on October 13 at the State Kremlin Palace. This was reported by the head of the city Oleg Denisov.

According to the jury, Penza demonstrated the best dynamics of growth in the number of families with the status of large families among cities with a population of up to 500 thousand people.

As noted by Oleg Denisov, today about 4.5 thousand large families live in the regional center. Over the past four years, their number has increased by one and a half times.

The head of the city recalled that in August Penza was visited by the expert commission of the competition. Specialists personally assessed the conditions created in the city for families with children.

In total, 60 cities fought for the title of “Family Capital of Russia”. Penza entered the top ten applicants, and the honorary title according to the results of the competition was shared by Nizhny Novgorod and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

According to Oleg Denisov, Penza continues to develop infrastructure for families with children. In the city, kindergartens, schools and sports facilities are built, parks and public spaces are landscaped, and future parents are supported.

The head of Penza thanked the experts for their high assessment and stressed that the achieved results were the result of joint work with the support of the Governor of the Penza region Oleg Melnichenko.

Oleg Denisov added that the city authorities intend to study and use the best practices of other participants in the competition to make Penza even more comfortable for families with children.
