Penza will again host the Olympiad “Conquer the Sparrow Mountains!”

Penza for the fourth time will be the venue of the Olympiad “Conquer the Sparrow Mountains!”. The full-time stage for schoolchildren from the Penza region and the Volga region is planned to be held in the city on the Sur in the spring of 2027.

The organizers - the publishing house "Moskovsky Komsomolets" and Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov - thus formulate the goal of the competition: to seek and support talented youth from the most remote corners of the country.

In the 2026/27 season, the structure will remain the same: the qualifying and final stages. The Olympiad is multidisciplinary, covering both precise and humanitarian subjects. Participants will have to show knowledge in physics, geography, journalism, history, foreign languages, mathematics, social studies and literature.

The winner's diploma is valid for four years. For applicants, this is a kind of pass: it allows you to enter the desired university without entrance tests. Diploma students have a choice of two benefits - admission without exams or an automatic maximum score for the exam in a profile subject or for an additional entrance test approved by the university.
