In the near future, Russian pharmacies may face a reduction in assortment

In the near future, Russian pharmacies may face a reduction in assortment. The reason is the cancellation of state registration for a number of foreign drugs. This is reported by MSK1.RU.
In the list of those who can leave the market, there were several well-known drugs. For example, "Zeposia", which is prescribed for multiple sclerosis. Lost registration and "Signifor", used in the disease Itsenko-Cushing. The same list includes the biological drug Remikeid, used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
Other funds have also been lost. "Spricell" is prescribed for some forms of leukemia, including chronic myeloid leukemia. Temodal with temozolomide is used in brain tumors.
Changes may also affect patients receiving antiretroviral therapy. Experts believe that Caletra and Evipler, which are part of the combined treatment of HIV infection, also risk becoming unavailable.
The changes affect not only expensive imported funds, but also the cheap segment - drugs up to 200 rubles. Due to weak profitability, companies discontinue their production. In addition, there are reported interruptions in the supply of Azathioprine, which is used for autoimmune diseases.
Experts note that the withdrawal of drugs is not always explained by one reason. Manufacturers may leave due to commercial calculations, political factors, changing priorities or technical circumstances. There are already analogues for many positions, including Russian ones. The key issue is an affordable and complete replacement, especially when it comes to inexpensive drugs, the release of which becomes unprofitable.
