Penza beat a friend to death because of the missing phone

Investigators of the Penza Railroad District Department collected evidence that was enough for the court to sentence the 57-year-old local resident. He was found guilty under part 4 of article 111 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation – intentional infliction of grievous harm to health, which entailed the death of the victim through negligence.

The investigation and the court found that on July 22, 2026, three people drank in the apartment of the house on Lunacharsky Street in Penza: the victim, the convict and the partner of the latter. After a while, a guest who lived in a nearby entrance went home. After his departure, the owner did not find his cell phone. Taking the mount, he caught up with the man in the entrance and dealt him several blows to the head and body – mount, as well as hands and feet. Taking his phone from his neighbor, the attacker returned to the apartment. The victim went to his place.

A 57-year-old man died of a head injury in his apartment. The body was found two days after the beating.

During the preliminary investigation and trial, Penza was in custody.

The court sentenced him to 6 years in prison in a strict regime colony.
