Penza libraries held a decade of Russian classics

In the Penza region came to the end of the Decade of Russian classics “Books for All Time”. The initiative was supported by 359 municipal libraries. As a result, the event united the entire library community of the region.

The 2026 program was very diverse in formats. To draw attention to the Russian classics, non-stops, quests, marathons and other events were held for young people. In total, more than 8,737 children and adolescents participated in them.

To expand the geography of the action helped remote technology. Schoolchildren from six districts of the region were able to go on virtual excursions to the Tarkhany Museum-Reserve and the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum. They also competed in literary tournaments and quizzes organized by the library coordinator.

For ten days, 548 events of different genres were held in the libraries of the region. The highest activity was shown by specialists from Gorodischensky, Kamensky, Nizhnelomovsky, Moksha districts and the city of Kuznetsk.
