In Nizhny Novgorod, a solemn ceremony of laying flowers to the Eternal Fire was held. It was attended by Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Volga Federal District Oleg Mashkovtsev. Then he examined the exposition dedicated to the results of the field season of the participants of the XII Meeting of the search teams “Nobody is forgotten”.
The exhibition is located in the exhibition center "Manege" on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin. The participants of the rally presented the finds of the Great Patriotic War, discovered in the search expeditions of 2026. Special attention was paid to the acquaintance of schoolchildren and students with the search work and its importance for the preservation of historical memory.
This year, the team of the Ural Federal District joined the participants from the PFD.
Oleg Mashkovtsev noted that the study of the finds continues after the completion of the expeditions. Work with artifacts and archival documents helps to establish the names of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland, search for their relatives and restore unknown pages of history.
He also noted that the search engines of the Volga Federal District annually conduct about 160-180 expeditions. The found evidence becomes the basis for further archival research.
Recall, the XII meeting of search teams “Nobody is forgotten” opened in the Nizhny Novgorod region on October 14. The program includes tests on conducting and documenting field search, archival search, first aid, as well as military-historical and search quizzes. The new test was the “Search Trail”, which simulates work in real field conditions.
The meeting has been held since 2014. Its organizers are the office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Volga Federal District, the Ministry of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Search Movement of Russia and the Foundation for Assistance to the Development of Civil Society Institutions in the Volga Federal District. Since 2013, the search team of the Penza region “Search-All-Terrain” nine times became the winner. In 2025, under the leadership of Kazakova Daria, an activist of the regional branch of the Search Movement of Russia, Penza search engines won and won the Grand Prix.
