Penza machine tool builders were vaccinated from the flu without interruption from production

At the machine tool factory in Penza, free vaccination of employees against influenza was organized. The vaccination campaign covered workers and office specialists of the enterprise who were able to undergo the procedure directly at the workplace without visiting the clinic.

Preventive immunization is carried out at the plant annually on the eve of the season of acute respiratory diseases. For the convenience of employees, the medical center was organized in the administrative building next to the production. Thanks to this, those wishing to get vaccinated did not have to take time off from work and spend time on the way to a medical institution.

"Very comfortable. As they say, without interruption of production. I spent a few minutes on everything, shared one of the employees of the company.

He added that he prefers to get vaccinated in advance, before the winter months, which usually have a peak incidence of influenza.

Before vaccination, employees underwent a mandatory medical examination. Doctors assessed their health and checked for possible contraindications.

For immunization, a vaccine containing topical antigens of influenza viruses of the season 2026-2027 is used. As explained by medical experts, the vaccine does not provide one hundred percent protection from infection, but reduces the likelihood of the disease, its severe course and the development of complications.

According to doctors, the vaccine contributes to the formation of specific immunity against influenza viruses of types A and B. Antibodies after administration of the drug appear after 8-12 days, and immune protection is maintained for up to one year. A slight increase in temperature after vaccination can be a normal reaction of the body.

Particular attention to vaccination is recommended to be paid to children, the elderly and patients with chronic diseases, including diabetes, diseases of the cardiovascular system, liver and kidneys, bronchial asthma, cancer and immunodeficiency conditions.

Vaccination campaign against influenza started in the Penza region in September 2026. The vaccine is available in all medical institutions in the region, immunization is free.

According to GBUZ "City Polyclinic", in Penza vaccination offices work in all 13 polyclinics. On weekdays they are open from 08:00 to 19:00, on Saturdays - from 08:00 to 13:00.

Meanwhile, according to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, from 5 to 11 October in the Penza region registered 1,778 cases of SARS. Compared to the previous week, the incidence decreased by 8.3%. The proportion of children among the cases was 15.7%. No influenza cases have been reported in the region during this period.

The regional Ministry of health reminded that the flu is highly contagious and can lead to serious complications. Vaccination remains the primary method of specific disease prevention and helps limit the spread of infection.
